NALC Stamp Out Hunger National Food Drive – the largest one-day food drive in the nation and probably the world.
This saturday is Stamp out Hunger National Food Drive. It is the largest single day food drive in the Country, and probably the world. Since its inception over 1,000,000,000 lbs (thats a Billion) of food has been delivered to the nations food banks & pantries.
They could not make it any easier. Just put your NON-Perishable Food Item(s) at the mailbox Saturday and your postman will pick it up when they deliver your mail
Not sure what they are going to do when they shift to a 5 day delivery schedule, considering this event occurs on the 2nd Saturday of May. But I imagine the day of the week really doesn't matter.
So lets do our best to make this THE BEST drive yet. We are all aware of how hard so many of our fellow Americans have been having, so though you may be hurting, somebody else is worse off. And I have been told that when you only have a little, Than the gift of Charity is that much bigger and feels that much better.
