New Port Richey, Florida Real Estate Blog: Well it is time for Back To School

Well it is time for Back To School

That is right folks, instead of worrying about one jumping into the street unexpected during class hours, we now have to get used to all those school lights that were blinking yellow all summer reverting back to a standard red light stop, along with those wonderful crossing guards holding up traffic at the beginning of the day and the end.

The decreased speed zones resume as well so make sure you are paying attention to those blinking yellow lights.  If you are not sure where the school zone begins or ends, although most are clearly marked, be extra vigilant.

Here in Pasco County schools resume on Monday

From the Pasco county School Website I am posting the opening dates for all surrounding counties

I have a 13 year old daugher. She starts back to school in a week and a half. I'm NOT looking forward to getting back into the routine of having to get her up and out the door in the morning...and then the homework. I feel like I"m back in school.

Wish I had a mother like you.  I was the first one up, because I was bused to a private high school, because my brother messed up and our public High School was known as 'Teenage Waistland'  (they misspelled it, not me

In the winter I got up turned on the kerosene heater, because the oil furnace was too expensive, and jumped into the shower to wake up.  I got dressed in my catholic boy suit and made my breakfast.  I made my lunch sandwich and headed up to the bus stop, which during the entire winter and longer, was before sunrise.  During lacrosse season, the only sport I played, I got home after sunset as well.

I did not feel bad though because the reason I had to do this was because my mother worked a minimum of 18 hours per day 7 days a week.  So in contrast, I had it easy compared to her
